Well-written piece that kept my interest all the way through.
Competition Comment: So many great stories and so few awards to be given. There were at least 10 entries in this category that deserved a first place honor. Instead of judging at the county fair, where I had the chance to give out blue ribbons to everyone deserving, this judge had the tough task of ranking the first, second and third place entries. Great work to all the writers and page designers in this category. The stories of coming back from illness or obstacles were especially well done.
