This is a moment that I kept coming back to just because there are two contrasting things happening here. There is the action shot of the game and the bench recoiling from the player's foot. Shooting in high school gyms are always tough, but the action is stopped. The timing is perfect with the player in the air.

I love that this photographer got the moment of the player coming into the end zone, but also captured the reaction of the teammates.

Sports photos are always about loud action moments, but a quiet sport like skiing has it opportunities as well. I love the closeness of this photo. The angles are nice and it has a nice vibrant feel. It's just a nice action shot.
Competition Comment: This group features a pool of technically talented photographers. Many of these photos are sound, beautiful shots, which made it difficult to select the best of the group. I feel like several of these could easily be the best of the group.
