  • Place Name: First Place
    Contestant Name: Sauk Centre Herald
    Entry Title: Streeters win playoffs
    Entry Credit: Mark Klaphake
Judge Comment: There is so much to love about this photo — the player who scored the winning run laying in the dust with sunlight's glow upon him, the downtrodden catcher, the players with various expressions of elation rushing from the dugout and the coach in the background making the "safe" sign. All of those elements come together to create a special photo.
  • Place Name: Second Place
Contestant Name: Clarissa - Independent News Herald
Entry Title: BHVPP qualifies five for state
    Entry Credit: Trinity Gruenberg
Judge Comment: Getting the truly great wrestling shot is no easy task. Trinity accomplished it here. The wrestler holding tight despite getting his eyes gouged tells the story of this match in one shot. Great job.
  • Place Name: Third Place
Contestant Name: Howard Lake - Herald Journal
Entry Title: Watertown catcher Ben Theisen attempts to tag Cologne's Zack Nelson
    Entry Credit: Staff
Judge Comment: We've all seen plays at the plate. Rarely is the player touching home plate upside down. Excellent shot.
  • Competition Comment: Like Division I, there were a lot of quality photos in this competition. At least a half-dozen others challenged to be in the top three. Truly excellent work from across the state.
